Off the Hook

This unassuming storefront in East Setauket has the best fish and chips in the area, hands down. Call in advance, because it takes about 15 minutes for the order, and there's not a whole lot of browsing to be done once you've arrived. However, it is of the utmost importance that 1) you don't arrive late to pick up your order, and 2) that you eat your f+c as quickly as possible after bringing it back to your house or to sb. The breading will get soggy if you wait too long. They usually use cod or monkfish (and you should make sure they do), as opposed to flounder. Good stuff.

Haven't had the pleasure and never will unless the stench dies out, which is doubtful at best. I think you might be better off buying high quality beer next door.
